All trainings at Camp Pendleton are subject to location change due to military operations
Remember that our training site is an active military base. Although we don't anticipate being "bumped" as
happened in last summer, that possibility always exists. Please insure that if you are traveling by commercial
carrier that you purchase refundable, changable tickets or travel insurance. We can not reimburse for any
ticket change fees.
At your local unit, fill out a REQUEST FOR TRAINING AUTHORITY. Your
parent(s) must sign this form. It will stay in your service record (do not mail

Unit will REQUEST a billet for a cadet or staff the via the MAGELLAN system.
Unit staff are the only ones who can do this.

Once the billet has been requested, have parent complete this form and
provide important medical/travel information. All registrations are on a
first-come, first-serve basis if a cadet meets all the training per-requisites.
A registration IS NOT APPROVED until a request is received via MAGELLAN (unit
responsibility) AND a payment & Additional Information form is received
(parent responsibility). All spaces are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Note: If medications will be taken at training, a training requires Swim
Qualification Information, or special accommodations are required, the Medical
Supplemental Form (Page 7/8 from Cadet Enrollment Packet), Swim
Qualification Form, and/or Accommodation Form (from cadet file) must be
submitted before a MAGELLAN request can be approved.

Be sure to list the cadet's name/unit name on the check-out screen in
the "notes to seller" so we can credit to their record.
If you will be using a "3 Friends" Recruiting Certificate to pay for
training, you must send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can log
your payment in correctly
SO THERE IS NO CONFUSION -- NO BILLET IS CONFIRMED EVEN WITH
FEES PAID UNLESS:
1. All pre-requisites are met.
2. An online "Additional Information" Form is completed
and fees are paid.
3. You receive an email from the MAGELLAN SYSTEM
that your registration is approved.

If you are 18 years or older and do not have a military base access privileges,
you must be on an access list or you won't be allowed on base. Please
complete one request per person.
Be sure to include anyone who will be coming to in-take day or graduation.
This includes parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, unit staff, unit sponsors,

IN ORDER TO APPROVE A REQUEST PUT INTO MAGELLAN
For information, once your unit submits a training request in MAGELLAN, it
will be CONFIRMED (a space is being held) and an email will be generated by
the system. You must complete Step #3 and #4 within 48 hours or the
request will be changed to SUBMITTED (no space being held) until Step #3
and 4 are completed. Remember that all space are on a first-come,
first-serve basis so if your request is returned, the space may be taken by
the next person who requested and completed all the steps
