How to register for our trainings

Parents, please submit your training application through the Magellan Parent Portal. Then download the Welcome Aboard Packet (see above) and read it! ALL THE LINKS TO OUR STORE AND THE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FORM CAN BE FOUND THERE!

Once your unit has approved your training application, we will confirm you (meaning that we are holding your spot for you) if your Parent Portal is complete and there is still space available. You will have 48 hours to complete your registration. This includes:

1. Completion of the Additional Information Form.

This is an online computer form. Please note that, if you will be traveling commercially, you do not need the travel specifics to fill this out.

2. Payment of training fees at our store.

PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU ARE CONFIRMED! We are accepting 3Free credits - please let us know if you want to use yours!

3. If you will need medications (either prescription or Over-the-Counter) at training, we will check your Portal.

We require that you have a fully signed Medical Supplemental Form on file and your medications are compatible with our training environment.

4. If you need an ADA accommodation (program modification) at training, we will check for that on your Portal.

Please be aware that all requests, whether new or existing, must be approved by the Officer in Charge of your desired training.

5. Some of our trainings may require additional submissions or special approvals.

This can include signed consent forms and/or cadet questionnaires, for approval. Please make sure that you supply these items as specified in that training's Welcome Aboard Packet.

If you have not completed all required steps within the allotted time, we will UNCONFIRM you and you will lose your guaranteed place. If this happens, you must complete all remaining steps of your registration and we will then approve if space is still available.

STAFF CADETS: We will not confirm a space until we have been notified that you have been approved to staff by your OIC. We will then confirm you as a staff cadet and you must complete your registration as above.

About Us

Naval Sea Cadet organizations exist in most of the maritime nations of the world. Recognizing the value of these organizations in educating youth in maritime matters, the Department of the Navy requested the Navy League of the United States to establish a similar program for American youth. The Navy League agreed to do so and formally established the Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) and Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC) in 1958.

Recognizing the importance and benefits of the NSCC, Congress on September 10, 1962, federally incorporated the Naval Sea Cadet Corps under Public Law 87-655 (36 USC 1541).Midshipman Association to offer cadets broader opportunities in areas of leadership and aviation.

The NSCC also took an active part in the creation of the International Sea Cadet Association (ISCA). The ISCA is an association of Sea Cadet Corps' from around the world, whose main objective is to facilitate exchanges of cadets between member countries.

A medical examination similar to a high school sports physical is required for all cadet applicants to the Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) or Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC). No one will be denied admission to the NSCC/NLCC due to a medical disability. Where a medical condition precludes full, unlimited participation, a Request for Accommodation (NSCADM 015) may be presented by the parent or guardian for review so the cadet may participate in NSCC activities to the maximum extent possible.

Adult applicants must be in good health commensurate with their age group and be free from any ailment or condition that would prevent them from satisfactorily performing their primary duty of supervising youth. NOTE: Adults not physically qualified to perform all duties may still participate with a waiver from NHQ considering the parameters of their expected contribution to the NSCC program.
